BioGetting geezerly in my old age, I am a computer geek, Science Fiction fan, and Karate ka.
Back, when I was 11, I saw my first computer (for those of you who might know what it means, it was a IBM 360 model 65 with a massive 1 meg of memory and lots of flashy lights) and fell in love. I have been tinkering with them ever since.
On the science fiction front, I read my first SF book in 6th grade. I was 'forced' to. Up until then I primarily checked out and read science or history books when we had library days. My teacher told me I had to read a fiction book or I would not be allowed to check out books on library day. So, as I perused the fiction section I came across a book tabled SCIENCE fiction, so I got that one and I have been hooked ever since. I attend Norwescon each year and so far have not missed one.

For the last 8 years I have be taking karate. I practice Hayashi-ha Shito-ryu at Ballard dojo of the Washington Karate Association. I am not good, but I persevere.
